Guiding Light Mission distributes winter supplies with Griffins' help
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM)- Two Grand Rapids Griffins stepped off the ice Thursday to help keep struggling families stay warm. Greg Amadio and Logan Wyett handed out coats, hats, blankets and gloves Thursday at the Guiding Light Mission.
The donations came from a drive that wrapped up last month. Organizers collected hundreds of items which took Guiding Light Mission two days to sort and organize.
Quinton Glashower, a development assistant with Guiding Light Mission said, "It kind of brings the community together and lets them know that we do care for them too. It's not like we want them walking around freezing. We're here to help. We're a mission and were here to help the community and ultimately keep them warm this winter."
