GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Grand Rapids Catholic Central hosted the St. Francis Gladiators at West Catholic for a Friday afternoon matinee.

St. Francis came to town riding on a 26 game winning streak and two straight state championships.

The Catholic Central Cougars struck early and often.  The first touchdown came on a 30 yard toss by quarterback Miles Morrissey to John Haley.

Later in the game, St. Francis punter Riley Bullough could not handle the snap, fumbling the ball in the end zone where the Cougars recovered for the score.

The Cougars ended the Gladiators winning streak with a convincing 29 to 6 final score.
