WALKER, Mich.--- The Humane Society of West Michigan and the West Michigan Center for Arts and Technology are teaming up to show the public what happens when art meets animals.

This past spring, high school students in WMCAT’s Teen Arts Program traveled to HSWM  several times to take photos of animals the shelter cares for.  Ten of those photos were selected by HSWM staff to permanently adorn the facility’s walls.

Those images will be unveiled during a public exhibition at HSWM at 7 p.m. Thursday, August 22.  The teenage artists will also be on hand to discuss their work. The photo unveiling is free, but donations to HSWM are encouraged to help defray the $1,500 cost of framing and matting the artwork.

HSWM is located at 3077 Wilson NW in My Town Walker.
