Tickets on sale for 2012 Cascade Iron Chef | Arts & Culture

CASCADE, MI – Tickets are on sale for the 2012 Cascade Iron Chef, which will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 6:30pm.  The Iron Chef will be held at William Bos Greenhouse and Farms at 1674 Spaulding Ave SE in Cascade, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary. Come sample the gourmet cuisine of competing student chefs from Grand Rapids Community College Secchia Institute for Culinary Education.   WZZM 13 Health & Medical reporter, Val Lego, will be the emcee for the event.

The event will also honor the 2012 Community Award Winners:  Tom and Joyce Wisner.  The Wisner’s have lived in Cascade for 33 years and are part of the family that founded Lescoa, an auto parts manufacturer that employed more than 2000 people.  Their philanthropic efforts support the Cascade Community Foundation, and the Wisner name can be seen on the Cascade Library, a statue at Tassell Park, and multiple education venues in the Greater Grand Rapids area.

Tickets for the gourmet feast are $75.  The ticket purchase deadline is September 18.
