1913 Room closing plans officially in place

Managers of the Amway Grand Hotel have officially put plans in place for the closing of the 1913 Room.

According to marketing director Chad Leroux, the owners are going to “let the business go quietly into the night,” with no planned events leading up to its closure.

Leroux previously said that the owners were contemplating coordinating a week of events leading up to the closing, with a shutdown date of April 27.  The closure date has now been moved up to April 26.  Construction crews will then transform the restaurant into a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

The 1913 Room opened inside the Amway Grand Hotel nearly 30 years ago.
