Knitting is fun at Gilda's House | Community Spirit

Did you know there is a place that you can go to on Monday mornings to knit and enjoy the company of many other people?

I had the pleasure of going to Gilda’s House on Bridge St. NW, here in Grand Rapids, last Monday at 9:30am and spent time knitting and visiting with about forty other women. This social time that ends at 11:30am or whenever you choose to leave, is open to anyone who would like to sit in and knit.

There are many knitting projects in the making that include socks, shawls, lap robes, mittens and hats. These articles are donated to people with cancer who come to Gilda’s House, Neonatal Departments at local hospitals and also to the Veteran’s Home here in Grand Rapids.

Gilda’s House welcomes anyone who can attend. Come join the group, have a cup of coffee and knit your favorite articles.
