Catholic Charities of West Michigan welcome your presence to Pietro’s through February 2017 for this Fundraiser!

For a fresh, homemade and local lunch or dinner, patrons have the opportunity to enjoy a delightful trip to Pietro’s Soup Bar. Chef Jevon Reno’s, 3 Signature Soups made from scratch daily are a tasty break you won’t want to miss!

Throughout the month of February, a donation of $1.00 from each soup bar purchase ($2.99 each) will benefit Catholic Charities. Give Catholic Charities a helping hand with the enjoyment of the “Best Soup in Town”

The Junior League of Grand Rapids invite the community to attend this Beneath the Wreath fundraiser, while supporting the projects that help to improve children’s physical health.

Great holiday gifts can be found this Friday, November 4 from 9:00am - 8:00pm and Saturday, November 5 from 9:00am – 4:00pm. Visit St. Nicholas Cultural Center located at 2250 East Paris Avenue SE in Grand Rapids.

These important projects are funded by the generous 15% donation of selected exhibitor’s sales, along with 100% tickets sales.

Public Night at the Observatory on Saturday

Public Night at the Observatory on Saturday

The public is invited to experience sky objects above, 2 Saturdays a month through October at the James C. Veen Observatory.

Visitors have the opportunity to experience the night skies on Saturday, September 24 from 8:30pm to midnight with Veen Observatory telescopes and member’s equipment. The night sky will feature Saturn and Neptune, along with deep Sky Objects such as nebulas, galaxies & various star clusters.This is also a chance to tour the facility & check out the audio visual presentation about the Observatory & the GRAAA.

This Public Night takes place only if the sky is clear. Starting times vary with the sunset. It is a quarter mile walk from the parking area to the top of the hill. If need, ask the lot attendant about assistance to the Observatory.

The Grand Rapid Amateur Astronomical Association invite the sky enthusiast to this Saturday’s observing night, as long as the sky is clear.

This is an opportunity to experience the moon, Mars, the rings of the planet, Saturn, along with deep sky objects through the Observatory & member’s telescopes. Guests can also tour the facility & check out the audio visual GRAAA & Observatory presentation.

Visit the Veen Observatory located at 3308 Kissing Rock Avenue SE in Lowell on Saturday, August 13 from 9:30pm to midnight. Keep in mind that the Observatory is located at the top of a hill. Visitors park below & walk up to the Observatory. Ask the parking attendant for assistance, if needed

Admission: $3 for Adults, $2 for 17 years & younger, free for children under 5 years of age.

The Grand Haven, Spring Lake & Ferrysburg Chamber of Commerce invite residents & visitors to take part in this sand art building activity this Saturday.

After 2 hours of sand creating, individuals, teams & families will be judged and awarded prizes on their unique presentation.

The Beer City Brewers Guild invites beer enthusiast, 21 years and older to experience many West Michigan distilleries, brewpubs, cideries, and breweries under large tents during this festival.

Drive down to Calder Plaza in Grand Rapids on Saturday, August 13 for 6:30pm to check out samples of West Michigan beverages and much more through 10:30pm.
