GR Charters Helping Students Transition To High School | Events
Wellspring Preparatory High School and Grand River Preparatory High School are helping prepare middle school students for high school with its Step Up events. During these events, students from middle schools around the area will be invited to visit the high schools and walk through what a typical high school day would be like.
“This is a great program to help our middle school students understand what high school looks like and feels like before reality hits,” said Koree Woodward principal at Wellspring Preparatory High School. “It takes out some of the scary unknowns of high school and helps to create excitement and engagement with our middle school students.”
Wellspring Preparatory High School and Grand River Preparatory High School, both part of the PrepNet network of public charter schools in Michigan, promote academic excellence that directly leads to college entrance and success. Employing a rigorous college-prep curriculum and an emphasis on moral character, the schools foster high achievement, personal growth, and character development for every student.
