Every dress has a story donation drive
News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Goodwill Industries and Girl Scouts Shore to Shore are teaming up to help people in west Michigan looking for a job.

The Girl Scouts are holding a dress donation drive through Nov. 9th

The special dresses will be sold in the stores or HERE.

Anyone donating a dress can write its story and it will stay with the dress so the person who buys it will know where the dress came from.

The revenue from the dress sales is going towards Goodwill's job training and placement services.

Jill Wallace from Goodwill Industries says, "The donation of these dressing is not only teaching the girl scouts teaching them civic engagement and leadership, but it is also putting someone local back to work."

The program currently has four Goodwill stores participating. Organizers hope as the dress donation program will become a pilot program and eventually grow nationwide.
