Animal Walk to be held Sunday afternoon | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- West Michigan residents can do their part to help out a forgotten group of animals.
The Grand Rapids Chapter of Farm Sanctuary has organized a walk called Compassion for All.
This walk is part of a nation-wide effort to raise funds for the non-profit.
Grand Rapids Walk coordinator, Annie Smolinski explains, "We're hoping to raise a million dollars for the Farm Sanctuary three locations and we are also trying to promote and change the way people look at farm animals; to have compassion towards them as they do dogs and cats."
The walk will take place Sunday at the Sixth Street Bridge Park.
Check in starts at 12:30 with the two mile walk beginning at 2 p.m.
There will be music, food and a raffle immediately following the walk.
