Storm knocks out power to thousands of homes
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Saturday storms knocked out power to more than 3,000 homes and businesses in West Michigan.
A Consumers Energy spokeswoman says 3,650 customers were without power immediately following the storms. By 10 p.m. Saturday night, that number was down 3,300 customers. Kent County was the hardest hit, with 1,713 outages. Ottawa County had 575 customers without power Saturday night, and Allegan County had 38 outages.
Consumers expects to have power restored to most customers by Sunday morning.
