City cancels park activities due to heat | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department has canceled all youth baseball, softball, and t-ball practices for Thursday night.
Nicole Braunschneider says that it is due to the extreme heat of the day.
YMCA Farmers Market is closed for Thursday July 5, 2012 due to the hot weather.
"After many discussions concerning the heat advisories and the safety of our vendors, farmers, and guests, we've decided to cancel today's farmers market (Thursday, July 5).
We hope to see you at the market next Thursday July 12, from 3-7pm at the David D. Hunting branch."
