25 Kitchen + Bar closing leaves artists uncertain | News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- ArtPrize organizers say they are prepared to work to find new venues for artists slated to have their artwork at 25 Kitchen + Bar.

The downtown Grand Rapids restaurant closed this week.  A sign in the door of the Ottawa Avenue business alerts customers to be on the lookout for a new concept soon. The owners haven't made any announcement on either the restaurant's Facebook page or website.

When we called the restaurant, no one answered and the voicemail is full.

The restaurant is listed as an ArtPrize venue for ten different artists. 

WZZM 13 News contacted an ArtPrize spokesman, who said they still hope the business reopens in time for the competition, which is September 19 through October 7.  If the business does not reopen, competition organizers say they will find new venues for the artists.
