Deliberations to resume Friday in road rage trial | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Jury deliberations will resume Friday in the trial of a brother and sister charged in a deadly case of road rage.
In February, Lance Byers of Grand Rapids was killed after arguing with other motorists at the intersection of State and Lafayette SE. Jeannette Davis is charged with murder, and her brother, Jontay Davis, is charged with being an accessory.
Prosecutors say they got into a fender bender with Byers that turned into a shooting and Byers was killed.
Closing arguments came early Thursday afternoon and the jury began deliberations. They went home for the day shortly before 6pm Thursday. A verdict could come on Friday.
