TRAFFIC ALERT: Grain spill on U.S. 131 | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- Crews are woring to clean up a load of grain spilled on U.S. 131 near downtown Grand Rapids.
Police say the accident happened around 2:50 p.m. on southbound U.S. 131 near I-196.
The semi was pulling a trailer full of grain when it spilled in the left-hand lane of the freeway.
Michigan State Police is investigating the accident. They are awaiting crews with equipment to clean up the spill.
Traffic is slow in the area. Dispatchers say they do not have an estimate on when the spill will be cleaned up.
