Restaurant Week: From farm to fork | News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - More than 60 different restaurants are participating in this year's Restaurant Week Grand Rapids.
They are offering meals for just $25 over the next 11 days. This is the third year for the deal, and there is a new theme: Farm to Fork. Each chef will use locally grown meat, cheese, fruits and vegetables in their featured dishes.
Restaurant Week Grand Rapids kicked off with a good old fashioned pie eating contest Tuesday morning, and WZZM 13's Peter Ross crammed down the blueberry filling for a win. You can follow the journey of Peter's pie from fresh blueberries at the Fulton Street Farmer's Market to Peter's plate by watching the attached video.
And if you're interested in Peter's eating contest strategies, don't forget to watch the web extra!
