GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)) -- In the last two weeks Mitt Romney announced running mate Paul Ryan, while President Obama has been doing some campaigning of his own.
With the national conventions coming up, many in Grand Rapids will be listening for a few key issues that will make or break their vote.
Randi Conklin knows who she's voting for--- the candidate who cares about student debt and expanding the age limit for students to stay on their parent's insurance.
Randi Conklin says, "Staying on your parents insurance, that would be a big thing for me. If I graduated right now, I wouldn't have insurance without job, and it's not the easier thing to get right out of college."
Joseph Deacon is not too impressed by either candidate but says he'll be swayed when he sees a party working with the opposition and one that's making changes with the economy.
Joseph Deacon, says, "I'm looking for a candidate that will honestly change the economy, someone who drives new jobs, more jobs, and will help people succeed."
Business owners we talked with are concerned about immigration and insurance issues. Especially for part time employees like the seasonal workers on Steve Spiech's farm.
Spiech says, "For us to pay insurance on non full time employee just hard to do in farming industry I know Obama was pushing that through, and that's a problem for me."
Beyond the economy the biggest issue on people's mind is health care-- how it affects society-- and the bottom line.
Voters decisions will become more clear as the campaign comes to a head.
