2011 winning ArtPrize piece moves to new home

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- The winning entrant in ArtPrize 2011 is getting a new home today.  Mia Tavonatti's "Crucifixion" is moving from the Grand Rapids Public Museum to Cornerstone University.

"Crucifixion" a nine by 13 foot, 425 pound stained glass mosaic will hang in Cornerstone's seminary building.  The piece will be moved this morning at 7:30.  The public will be able to view the piece starting September 15th.

"Crucifixion" won Tavonatti first place in last year's ArtPrize and $250 thousand in prize money.
