Grand Rapids (WZZM)- Volunteers for the Salvation Army are spending the day putting the finishing touches on 50 quilts for local veterans.
30 senior citizens from the Salvation Army's Senior Program have donated time and money so that residents at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans can keep warm this holiday season.
The final step in the quilt-making process is happening today at the Salvation Army Fulton Heights location in Grand Rapids. Quilt tying will take place from 1 to 3 p.m.
