Ice carvers make World Series sculptures | News

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A local company is helping to fuel excitement over the World Series.

Ice Sculptures Ltd. is getting ready for plenty of parties surrounding the series.

Workers at the business have been cranking out ice sculptures of all shapes and sizes. Inside each one is the official World Series logo and the Tigers' olde English "D."

Many of the sculptures will go to Comerica Park, while others were ordered for parties at restaurants and clubs all over Detroit.

"This is so exciting to be part of the World Series especially since we're from Michigan and the Grand Rapids area," says Randy Finch, co-owner of Ice Sculptures Ltd. "We're thrilled for the Tigers to be there were so proud of em they've done a fantastic job."

Finch says employees are more excited about the Tigers being in the Series than they are about these special orders. The ice, he says, is literally "the icing on the cake."
