Griffins grow mustaches for Mo-vember | News
GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (WZZM) - If you notice some of your favorite Grand Rapids Griffins players with mustaches, there is a good reason. Many players and members of the Griffins office staff are growing mustaches as part of "Mo-vember", an effort to promote men's health awareness.
The event fits well with the hockey tradition of growing beards and mustaches during post season play.
Fans can donate by going to the Griffins website.
Team Captain Jeff Hoggan, player Triston Grant, and staffer Bill Hook visited the WZZM 13 Morning Show on Tuesday to show off their mustaches and to compare with Meteorologist Aaron Ofseyer and Traffic Guru Dave Kaechele. Click on the attached video to watch.
