LaughFest kicks off with mustache record attempt | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- LaughFest kicks off in Grand Rapids Thursday night with another world record attempt. Organizers are trying to break the record for most people wearing a fake mustache at the same time.
Participants are encouraged to gather at 5:30 pm at Rosa Parks Circle. Practice and instructions will happen at 6:15 p.m. and the official record breaking attempt will be at 6:30.
The kick-off event will be followed by LaughFest parties, dinners, and shows at various venues around downtown Grand Rapids.
LaughFest, in its third year, aims to raise awareness of cancer and funds for Gilda's Place. Gilda's Place offers support to cancer victims, their families, and children dealing with grief.
The 10-day event offers comedy performances at venues across downtown Grand Rapids.
