LaughFest "Best in the Midwest" competition | News
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Some of the best comedians from our region will perform Wednesday night at LaughFest. The "Best of the Midwest" competition will showcase a number of regional comedians.
This is all part of the LaughFest event fundraiser for Gilda's Club.
Comedian Stu McCallister says, "These are all guys who do work, comedy is their living and its fantastic that people don't need to live in New York City or LA to make their living, They live here in the Midwest and it's great to see them come here and be a part of this."
The best of the Midwest stand-up comedy showcase will take place at the BOB in downtown Grand Rapids. Wednesday night's event kicks off at 7 pm. Tickets are still available through ticketmaster.com.
The comedians are competing for a $1,000 prize.
