GRAND RAPIDS, Mich.-- Cooley Law School graduate is being honored for her dedication to animal law.

On May 22, the State Bar of Michigan Animal Law Section presented 2013 graduate Renee Edmondson with the Wanda A. Nash Award.  Edmondson was selected from a group of Michigan law students who were nominated by their animal law professors.   

Edmondson is the co-founder of the Thomas M. Cooley Animal Law Society and played an important role in a recent state bill that would establish an animal abuse registry.
