Slow start to voting at Congress Elementary

Grand Rapids, MI - Although voter turnout in Michigan is expected to reach 52% today, things were pretty quiet at Congress Elementary when I arrived to vote at 8:05 am. The polls will be open until 8:00 pm so there is still plenty of time to cast your ballot.

To help ensure that senior citizens and the handicapped have an oportunity to vote, the Inter-Denominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Grand Rapids is offering them rides to the polls. The rides are available all day from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm when the polls close.

For a ride, call (616) 452-2899 or (616) 644-5349.
