Approximately 94 percent of parents whose children are enrolled at Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids would recommend the school, according to a recent parent satisfaction survey. The 2015-16 survey was administered by an independent market research company, which created the questionnaire, collected the data, and tabulated the results. High marks were achieved with 89 percent of Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids parents giving the school an A or B grade.

“Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids allows students' the flexibility to create an education program that is individualized to their needs,” said Dan McMinn, principal of Nexus Academy of Grand Rapids. “We can see parents are actively involved in the student’s learning experience - ensuring that they are uniquely aware of how they are tracking at school. Parents have frequent contact with the teachers and Success Coaches, so they are able to provide whatever additional support their child requires as they prepares for the future.”

As young learners utilize digital tools on a greater basis – in and out of school – and parents seek learning environments that will maximize their child’s learning experience, the shift to blended learning continues to gain momentum throughout the United States. Reasons for this shift include a desire for more personalized learning and wanting a change from the local school.
